Kyle Griffin vs Alan Jouban
Alan Jouban keeps his blemish free record intact needing only 15 seconds to
knockout Kyle Griffin. Jouban defended Griffins takedown attempt with a short left
knee that sent Kyle to the canvas. The ref stopped the bout shortly after.

Tyler Freeland vs Diego Melendez
In a David and Goliath match-up where Tyler Freeland gave up more than a foot in
height to his opponent Diego Melendez, "David" certainly took control of the fight.
Tyler used his lower center of gravity to his advantage, easily taking Diego down
with a hip throw in the first. After scoring points on the ground, Tyler brought
the fight back on to its feet. Here both fighters shined with their hands as
each fighter stunned, dazed and dropped their opponent to finish off the first round.
In the Second, Tyler easily scored the round taking Melendez down and keeping him
there for the remainder of the time with ground and pound.
Finishing off the third and final round, Freeland dominated again with multiple
takedowns, ground and pound and some heavy handed stand-up. The judges scored the
bout a Unanimous Decision for Tyler Freeland. Very exciting fight and an early
contender for fight of the night.
Collin Hart vs Mike Arellano
Santa Rosa's Collin Hart took on San Bernardino's Mike Arrellano in this
Middleweight bout. Both fighters felt each other out for a few seconds before
they started to exchange, each landing a couple of punches before Hart's ground
training kicked in and he shot in for the takedown. It didn't take very much longer
for Hart to take Arellano's back then the rear naked choke to finish off the fight
in 1:32 into the fight.
Andy Miranda vs Ryan Burton
"The Hand Grenade" Ryan Burton made good use of his jab, a punch that I feel is
not used enough in MMA, and it worked very well for him early on. That is until
Andy Miranda, another David Terrell fighter, landed a wide right clipping Burton
and sending him to the ground. Known for their ground attack, Miranda quickly jumped
on his opponent and secured the triangle choke for the early stoppage win at 1:06.
Andrew Martinez vs Doug Hunt
Andrew Martinez gave it his all but it still wasn't enough to fend off Doug Hunt.
The fight didn't last very long on its feet and Hunt never let off once he had
Mickey on the ground forcing the ref to stop the bout at 4:27 in the first round.
Steve Lopez vs Fabricio Comoes
Fabricio Camoes immediately knocks out Steve Lopez with a right leg kick to the
head. Camoes jumped on Steve on the ground but the ref stopped the bout soon after.
It did seem that the ref stopped the bout a bit early but thats the way fights go
sometimes and no one can deny that Lopez was out for a moment following the kick.
Dominique Robinson vs John Gunderson
"The Fallen Angel" Dominique Robinson dominated every round in this three round
battle against John "Guns" Gunderson. From bell to bell it was Robinson
leading the charge, stuffing takedowns, going for submission attempts, dropping
elbows and in the third and final round finally ending it with some ground and
pound at 41 seconds.
Mike Moreno vs Edgar Garcia
The long awaited come back of Mike "El Palo Duro" Moreno did not go the way he and
his camp planned. Edgar Garcia looked fresh and ready to strike but Moreno had
other plans to shoot in for the takedown. Garcia was more than ready and
defended every takedown attempt and at 1:47 Edgar stuffed a takedown while locking
in a guillotine choke. Moreno, who looked stiff and not regulating his breathing throughout
the fight, immediately tapped.
With the long layoff, Moreno's camp can chalk this one up to ring rust because he
did not look like the Moreno we saw in the past. Hats off to Edgar as he came in here
from Arizona with all of the Central Valley MMA fans rooting against him and he
got a great submission win over a guy I did not think could get subbed.
Description: Ian McCall uses boxes his way to victory taking the win home over previously number one ranked Jussier da Silva. | Bloodymayhem.com/Roger Noguera View large
Jussier da Silva vs Ian McCall
Jussier Da Silva living up to his non-stop action fighting style kept a hard pace
through all three rounds of his fight against Ian McCall. Its hard to fight off of
your back and even harder when the fighter on top of you is Jussier but Ian pushed
his own pace, landing heavy strikes to end the second and earning the third round with
good hand skills. Da Silva lost some of his pep in the third, not attempting as
many takedowns and even back peddling away from McCalls strikes. It was a tough one
for the judges but when the cards were read they favored Ian McCall giving him the decision victory.
This is a huge upset as the previously undefeated Jussier da Silva was considered
one of the top Flyweight's in the world.
Ulysses Gomez vs Darrell Montague
Darrell Montague looked impressive opening up the firs two rounds of the Championship
bout against the current TPF Champ and crowd favorite Ulysses Gomez. Montague looks
faster with a most improved boxing skill that has left Ulysses stumped on how to defend
or scrambling for ways to take Darrell down. Closing out the second round Montague
dropped Gomez to the ground with a right.
In the third, Montague again looked impressive with his hands. Uly was left with
no answer, no takedown and still no round to his name.
Darrell scores another point with the fourth round. Let's see if the 5th brings
us anything different.
Well, I scored this fight as 5 rds to none with an impressive win for Darrell "Mongoose"
Montague. After the first round, Ulysses did not put up a fight just his face. Complete
domination. All three judges scored the bout 50-45 crowning Darrell the new Tachi
Palace Fights Flyweight Champion.
Leopoldo Serao vs David Loiseau
The final bout of the evening and for the Middleweight Championship, David Loiseau
took on the current TPF Champ Leopoldo Serao. I'm not sure what it is but every time
I see Leopoldo fight it seems as if he brings out the worst fighter fighter in his
opponents. Jaime Jara, Phil Collins and now David Loiseau, they are all good fighters
but somehow did not perform like they normally do.
Although David did not look like his normal self, he was still able to pull off the
win over Leopoldo. After suffering a cut on his head in the 4th round, the blood poured early in the 5th
causing some concern from the ref. After getting the cut looked at by the cageside
doctor, the fight was called. Loiseau took home the win and was crowned the new Tachi Palace Fights Middleweight Champ.
