John "The Natural" Allesio (29-13) coming off of a third round submission win over War Machine at TPF 5 will face Merced's Phil The Pain Collins (9-5) for the newly vacated Tachi Palace 170 lb title.

Collins coming off of a 4 fight win streak, if you score the Serao fight correctly, has been wanting a shot at the title ever since he dropped down to the 170 lb Welterweight division two fights ago.

With current TPF Welterweight Champ David Mitchell (11-0) vacating the belt to make the jump over to the UFC on Sept 15, this leaves Collins with an open invitation to the title shot. And he will have his hands full with the very experienced John Allesio.
