After a long night of disappointing boxing bouts that left the crowd booing at all the judge's decisions, there was a small ray of light coming through at the end with the anticipation of two great MMA bouts. Jiu-Jitsu tactician Luis "Speedy" Gonzales (2-0) out of Hanford proved that he can win a fight with his hands. Gonzales defeated Maurice Eazel (4-8) of Reno NV with a solid overhand right that knocked Eazel completely out 2:09 into the first round. Gonzalez is known for his black belt in Jiu-Jitsu but had yet to prove his striking. Personally his striking still seemed elementary and without a base for power shots, he connected his right hand on an opponent that was not qualified to fight someone of Gonzales' caliber. Overall, it was a good showing for Gonzales and I can not wait to see him against someone with a winning record.
