Visalia, CA - Playboy Fight Night, . . . errr, should I say "Fight to The Mansion" which is what we were told the promotion changed the name to, due to some legal issues with the Playboy name. It was a great crowd and a sellout at the Visalia Convention Center which is something other promotions have not been able to do recently. I have to be honest, the card was not the best card out there but I believe the Name sold most of those tickets and of course Doug Marshall's fans. The atmosphere was good, lots of good looking people, beautiful Playboy Playmates, and about a dozen or so Central Valley Ring Girls hoping to win a trip to the Playboy Mansion on September 11. I have to give it up to Christian because he sure does know how to sell tickets and lots of them. Overall good show, not bad for his first one back, definitely some ring rust there but nothing to deter people from coming back. Can't wait for the next one.

Art Arciniega making his comeback to the cage, defeated undefeated prospect Tom Peterson of Turlock. In all 3 rounds, Arciniega went for the early takedown where he kept Peterson on his back to finish off each round. The judges scored the bout 30-27 all in favor of Art Arciniega.

Steve Ramirez loses a tough fight against Doug Hunt in this three round ground game. Doug would get the takedown and keep Ramirez down on his back. Neither fighter could put anything together to make a statement in the fight. The refs saw it as a Unanimous win for the Bako native Doug Hunt.

The main event of the evening proved to be the fight of the night as well. Doug "The Rhino" Marshall and BJ "The Beast" Lacy went toe-to-toe for most of the fight, with each fighter landing some clean power punches. It wasn't until the third that Rhino's punches wore Lacy down and had him buckled. Lacy scrambled and went for a takedown but Rhino ended up with BJ's back and sunk in a tight rear naked choke that put the fight to an end at 1:35 of the last round.
