Casey "The Underdog" Olsen vs Tito "Trill" Jones
The last fight of the night was a very exciting fight and the only one to go to a decision. Fresno's Casey Olson looked to improve on his 7-2 record against Sacramento Tito ÂJones out of Urijah Faber's Camp. The first round was easily Jones as he kept to his game plan and kept the fight on his feet. Tito Jones a much better striker than Olson landed several big shots on Olson's chin. The second round seemed a repeat of the first with Jones dominating the stand-up for the first half of the second round. Olson noticing the fight going the other way shot in for a takedown and kept Jones on the ground for the remainder of the round while getting in a few ground in pound punches. With the fight going either way at the start of the third round, Casey Olsen immediately went in for the takedown and was able to keep busy while impeding Jones from escaping. No big exchanges were made during the round and Casey was able to escape the victor with a unanimous decision 29-28 on all three judges' scorecards. I would definitely like to see Casey work on his stand-up a bit more as it seemed less than par and the way he did not keep his chin down while being attacked only sets him up for a big knockout. Well he is still young and has a lot more to improve on if he wants to continue climbing up in the ranks. Overall it was a good fight and Casey fought his fight and easily won.
